Veliki genije Toumas Holopainen, uradio je još jedan sjajan posao, tj. spot za pjesmu "While Your Lips Are Still Red", koja je zapravo soundtrack za novi finski film koji se zove "Lieksa". Pjesmu je otpjevao basista Marco Hietala. Ta će se pjesma naći kao bonus pjesma na singlu "Amaranth". Film "Lieksa" je režirao poznati finski reditelj Markku Polonen. Premijera filma u Finskoj je zakazana za septembar.
Nightwish je objavio spisak pjesama koje će se naći na njihovom novom albumu zvanom "Dark Passion Play", koji izlazi 26. septembra 2007. godine.

Osim pjesme "Eva", čiji dio možete skinuti sa www.nightwish.com, Nightwish je predstavio i 3 nove pjesme koje će se naći na novom albumu koji izlazi u devetom mjesecu ove godine. To su pjesme: "7 Days To The Wolves" , "Amaranth" i "Master Passion Greed". Naracno i ostale 3 pjesme možete skinuti na njihovoj web stranici. Pjesme su extra, a album će definitivno ličiti na Once iz 2004.
Anette Olzon je nova pjevačica finskog symphonic metal benda Nightwish. Rođena je 21.06.1971. godine u švedskom gradu Helsingborgu. U muzičkoj školi je svirala obou oko 8 godina. Sa 17 godina priključila se svom prvom bendu zvanom Alyson Avenue s kojim je izdala 2 albuma. Sa 21 godinom igrala je u rock operi "Gränsland" u Helsingborgu. Trenutno uzima privatne časove pjevanja od profesora iz Danske i Švedske. Njena životna filozofija je: "Živi svoj život pun ljubavi, smij se i plači sa srcem, jer život ne traje vječno..." Voljela bi posjetiti Laponiju (sjeverni dio Finske), Australiju, Novi Zeland, Island, Egipat... U slobodno vrijeme čita knjige, gleda filmove i igra video igrice. Najdraže pjesme od Nightwisha su joj "Ever Dream" sa albuma Century Child i "Higher Than Hope" sa albuma Once. Najdraže piće joj je mineralna voda, a voli i vodku sa vanilijom. Što se tiče hrane obožava kinesku, japansku, tajlandsku i meksikansku kuhinju. Omiljene životinje su joj mačke i konji. Najdraži filmovi su joj: "Gladijator", "Titanic" i "Hrabro srce". Na TV najćešče gleda serije: "Očajne kućanice" i "Prijatelje". Prije Nightwisha bila je članica benda Take Cover.
Nightwish je konačno predstavio svoju novu pjevačicu. Fanovi su to dugo čekali i naravno dočekali. Mjesto Tarje Turunen u bendu zauzela je 35-togodišnja šveđanka Annete Olzon.
Realiziran je i omot koji će ukrašavati cd na kojem će se naći novi singl Nightwisha nazvan "Eva". Singl inače izlazi 30.maja 2007.godine.
Na web stranici Nightwisha pojavila se nevjerovatna vijest, kako je u potpunosti rasprodat njihov prvi koncert na ovogodišnjoj turneji, koji će biti održan 15.10.2007. u Springfieldu (SAD). A vijest je nevjerovatna jer su karte rasprodate 5 mjeseci prije koncerta...

Nightwish je već odavno krenuo na snimanje novog albuma koji izlazi u septembru 2007. godine. Ovdje se jasno vidi da su najvrijedniji bili Emmpu i Marco koji vježbaju novonastali materijal.
Nightwish će 15. oktobra 2007. godine, početi turneju po Sjevernoj Americi. Objavljeno je da će podrška finskom bendu na toj turneji biti doom/death metal bend Paradise Lost. Oni će iskoristiti priliku da promovišu svoj novi album nazvan "In Requiem".
Prema pisanju nekih europskih rock časopisa, u poslijednje vrijeme se pojavljuju vijesti o tome kako bi nova pjevačica u Nightwishu mogla biti sadašnja pjevačica nizozemskog symphonic metal benda Epica, Simone Simons. Koliko je ta informacija tačna ne zna se. Mada se kao potencijalna kandidatkinja pominje i Vibeke Stene, bivša pjevačica norveškog gothic metal benda Tristania. Ta dilema će se razriješiti 30.05. kad izađe single "Eva" na čijem će omotu pisati ime nove pjevačice poznatog finskog benda.

Finski bend Nightwish objavio je na svom web siteu, da 30. maja 2007. godine, izlazi njihov novi single pod nazivom "Eva", koji će se takođe nalaziti na njihovom slijedećem studijskom albumu koji izlazi u septembru ove godine. Takođe je objavljeno da će zarada od prodaje ovog singla biti uručena u dobrotvorne svrhe, tačnije dječijoj dobrotvornoj organizaciji.
Since last Sunday morning, I have been asked to express my position by magazines, newspapers, radio and TV stations, fan clubs and fans from Finland and from all over the world. So many in total that it is physically impossible for me to find the time to reply to them all individually. Hence I decided to put down a couple of words in this text to let my fans, family and friends and the public know how I feel after the recent events.
This is a moment of grief and pain and I find it very hard to speak.
At the moment I am in Argentina. I hope you can understand that after this shocking life change comparable to a divorce, I didn’t want to stay alone at home in Finland. My husband had booked his tickets to Argentina many months ago and I decided to travel with him at the last minute.
But the fact that I am in Argentina and the long distance should of course not be an excuse not to comment on the situation.
Last Friday 21st of October was a day the whole band had been waiting for a long time.
Practice started early in the morning. I was very sick and nervous because of the fact that I was not even able to sing during the rehearsals.
Also nervous because the concert programme was going to be longer than usual for a Nightwish concert. Furthermore we were going to have a special guest to perform with us, more wardrobe changes for myself than usual and for the first time big screens and bigger production on stage.
Not to forget that the concert was going to be recorded and filmed.
The five of us had finally made it to play Hartwall Arena.
Even though every one of us knew in advance that the concert was sold out, finally on stage, we saw that screaming, applauding and standing people took every seat. The feeling was unbelievable.
I will never forget how amazing it was to experience the Finnish audience’s gorgeous reception.
When the concert was over, I cried of happiness on stage. Happy tears because I was able to do my best as always even though I was sick. Happy tears because our long tour got the greatest possible ending and happy tears because of the best recognition an artist can get: applause and smiling faces.
At that moment I didn’t know that I was going to cry again soon.
After the concert, the guys of the band invited me backstage to join them and asked me to hug altogether. This felt strange as it was the same kind of hug we traditionally came together for before every concert. That tradition remained between us, even though the tension and increasing pressure already existed since a long period of time.
The immediate feeling in me was to thank them, which I did loudly but without any reply.
After this, they gave me a letter and asked me to read it the following day. The same letter that is now public.
I read it and was shocked.
I didn’t know what to say and still at the moment that I am writing these lines, I don’t.
I sense great anger in that letter and I continue to have very confused feelings about it, but I don’t want to reply to this anger with an even greater anger. Private matters should never be taken to the public.
I know this moment we are going through is very sad for everybody, including the guys.
While there would have been so many different possibilities and ways to express what they wanted to tell me with the letter, I remain unable to understand the way they chose to handle this. I am sorry that the guys got me so wrong. I don’t recognize myself at all from the way they described me.
They mentioned mean things about me, but the fact that they involved Marcelo, my husband, crossed the line. He is the man I love, my friend and has been my biggest support over the last years.
We have been band mates for 9 years, experienced good times and not so good ones. I thought I knew them, but I was wrong.
Still everything that has happened is not enough to make them evil in my eyes.
Now comes a time to calm down and reflect upon all of this.
I need to put my feelings together again and I promise to come back to public soon.
I will announce a press conference where I will be talking about my future plans. This doesn’t mean that you should expect this conference to be an instrument to attack anybody. It won’t.
The wonderful music we created together won’t be touched by recent events.
Thanks a lot to all the people who are supporting me during these sad times. My family, friends, colleagues, and the great number of fans. I love you and I really feel I have not failed you.

Tarja Turunen je bivša članica ovog benda. Pjevačica sa odličnim glasom. Rođena je 17.08.1977. u gradu Kiteeu. Školovana operna pjevačica, koja je bila velika ikona Nightwisha dok se nije desilo čuveno Tarjino pismo bendu i ostalim fanovima, u kojem se navodi kako ona zapravo napušta bend zbog udaje i zbog nekih "finansijskih problema". Snimila je jedan solo album pod nazivom "Henkays Ikuisuudesta" (ne znam šta znači) iz 2006. godine i 2 singla "You Would Have Loved This" i "Yhden Enkelin Unlema"... I na kraju, Nightwish definitivno može bez Tarje, jer novi album izlazi krajem septembra 2007. sa novom pjevačicom, iako mnogi se slažu da ipak ovaj Nightwish neće biti ni približno "onom" Nightwishu sa Tarjom Turunen... Ali nikad se ne zna. Zato sačekajmo album...
Rođen je 21.04.1978. u gradu Joensuu. U bendu svira bubnjeve i moj je definitivno najdraži član benda. U bend je došao sa 17 godina. Od ostale muzike voli da sluša Dream Theater i Stratovarius-(vjerovatno najveći finski bend svih vremena). Želi da posjeti piramide u Gizehu. Najdraža mu je pjesma Ghost Love Score za poslijednjeg albuma Once, za koju kaže da je najsinfoničnija i najmelodičnija pjesmu koju je ikada svirao. Voli Jegermaister i Red Bull, aod hrane najviše gotivi indijsku "kuhinju". Najdraži film mu je Gladiator sa Russellom Croweom...
Rođen je 14.01.1966. i najstariji je član benda. Svira bas gitaru i osim Nightwisha svira i sa svojim bratom u gothic bendu Tarot. Za sebe kaže da je lijen, ali kad je riječ o sviranju i muzici tu je pravi "hardworker". Želio bi otići u svemir ako ikad dobije priliku. Najdraža pjesma mu je The Siren sa albuma Once iz 2004.godine. Obožava pivo, a najdraže jelo mu je "lenkki"-vrsta finske kobasice. Najbolji film koji je gledao je trilogija Ratovi zvijezda.
Rođen je 24.06.1978. Svira gitaru i karakteriše se niskim rastom (1.67 cm). Obožava Nightwish i svoje ostale prijatelje iz benda. Po tehnici sviranja gitare za njega kažu da je novi Satriani. Najdraža mu je pjesma Wishmaster sa istoimenog albuma i 2000.godine. Voli da čita brazilskog pisca Paola Coelha i kao i svaki roker voli pivo i pizzu. Pripadnice lijepšeg spola za njega kažu da je jedan od najslađih gitarista na svijetu...
Rođen je 25.12.1976. u Kitee-u. Takođe svira u bendovima Nattvindens Grat i Darkwoods My Betrothed. Njegovi muzički idoli su Hans Zimmer, Vangelis. Toumasov moto je: "Ništa nije nemoguće". Najdraža Nightwishova pjesma mu je Creek Mary's Blood sa albuma Once. Najdraža knjiga koju je pročitao je "Gospodar prstenova". Osnivač je benda i inspiraciju za pisanje muzike i teksta crpi iz filmova, što ga karakteriše najboljim Soundtrack kompozitorom u Finskoj. Strast mu je kako sam kaže filmska muzika. Za njega u bendu kažu da je miran i povučen, ali se lako naljuti kad ga iznerviraju. Toumas Holopainen je definitivno poslije Tarje Turunen najveća ikona u ovom bendu.

Nightwish je finski bend, osnovan 1996. u gradu Kitee. Osnivači su mu klavijaturista Tuomas, gitarista Emppu i vokalistica Tarja. Nightwish svira muziku koja se može ubrojiti u power metal , u symphonic te gothic metal , čak ih se smatra jednim od osnivača Symphonic metala, skupa sa sličnim bandovima kao što su Epica, Therion, Visions of Atlantis te Within Temptation. Koliko se Nightwish razvijao, pokrenuo je i sasvim novu vrstu metala, danas sve više ljudi Nightwish naziva Soundtrack metal.
Nightwish je osnovan u srpnju 1996. Prvi članovi su bili Tuomas, Emppu I Tarja. Prve 3 akustične pjesme "Nightwish" (po kojoj je bend dobio ime), "The Forever Moments" i "Etiäinen" snimljene su te godine. 1997. godine u bend dolazi Jukka Nevalainen, bubnjar,a akustična gitara je zamjenjena električnom. U tranvnju 1997., snimljen je album "Angels Fall First". Krajem 1997. održavaju prvi koncert u Kitee-u. U svibnju 1998 snimljen je video "The Carpenter". Kasnije se basist Sami Vänskä, stari Tuomasov prijatelj pridružio bendu. Novi album, "Oceanborn", izdan je 7.12.1998. 1999. snimljen je singl "Sleeping Sun". 2000. se sa pjesmom "Sleepwalker" prijavljuju za finsko natjecanje za Euroviziju i završavaju na 2. mjestu. U svibnju 2000 godine izdan je novi album "Wishmaster".U ljeto te godine Tarja se potajno udaje za svog menadžera (Marcelo Cabuli). 2001. izdan je album Over The Hills And Far Away na kojem su gosti bili Tony Kakko (vokalist power metal benda Sonata Arctica)i Tapio Wilska. Snimljen je DVD From Wishes To Eternity. Pred kraj 2001. Tuomas je zamolio Samija da napusti bend. Zamjenio ga je basist Marco Hietala (Tarot, ex-Sinergy (napustio je Sinergy zbog Nightwish-a)) koji je uz sviranje bas gitare bio i muški vokal. 2002. je izdan album "Century Child". Kasnije je snimljen video "Bless The Child". 2003. Nightwish su izdali novi DVD "End of Innocence". Također te godine bend uzima pauzu. Tarja nastavlja studij u Njemačkoj, a Tuomas privremeno odlazi u bend For My Pain... U lipnju 2004. je izdan novi album "Once". 2005. izdali svu svoj Best of album pod nazivom Highest Hopes - Best Of koji osvaja zlatnu ploču 2006. je izdan DVD "End Of An Era" čije ima jedno posebno značenje, jer je nakon koncerta koji je na tom DVD-u Tarji uručeno pismo kojim je Tuomas, Jukka, Emppu i Marco obavještavaju da više nije član benda.
Zovem se Vedran i maturant sam Srednje Medicinske škole u Tuzli (smijer Optičarski tehničar). Imam 18 godina i živim u Tuzli. Treniram latino-američke plesove u PK "Flamenco". Slušam rock i metal, a moj omiljeni bend je Nightwish za kojeg je i otvoren ovaj blog...
